(More customer reviews)I was first excited to buy some "premium" dog food to treat my dogs. I usually buy Eukanuba or other mainstream premium brands. Since I had a large bag of Eukanuba and there was still a few pounds left, I waited to open this one. In a week I opened it and as I always do with dog food, I smelled it. The smell of staleness/ bad odor was evident with this dog food, EVEN THOUGH the expiration date was still OK. I thought maybe it is not staleness but maybe just this food (ingredient) has this smell, so I poured some in dog dish and offered to my dogs. NOT ONE OF THEM WOULD EVEN COME CLOSE TO IT AFTER SMELLING IT. One of them is a Rottweiler that basically would eat anything. I was very, VERY disappointed. First of all, what are you supposed to do, send it back? A heavy package as this? I left it in a separate dish for the dogs, just out of curiosity whether or not they would maybe eat it later. THEY NEVER TOUCHED IT. I would never buy this brand again. Be warned before you shell out this much money for this so-called "premium" dog food.
