(More customer reviews)It makes an awesome waterproof pad to put in a carrier for those of us that take cats or small dogs on road trips frequently. I usually put it as the bottom layer and put something more cushiony like a plush towel or carrier pad on top. It washes easily in the washer and makes cleaning the carrier a breeze. It is sold as a placemat for messy cats and it works great for that purpose too although I personally prefer rubber ones as pet placemats; I have plenty of those!
