Assuming the labeling is true - it is 100% salmon - no additives etc.
Also - we are assuming that the manufacturing process is safe (Blindly trusting Kong people - hope it is justified)
Our 1.5 yr old male Maltese is a fussy eater but he LOVES this treat.
Since he nibbles - at best - at his kibble - I tested using the salmon as a 'seasoning' to his meals and it seems to work most of the time.
The treats are easy to crumble into a powder and I just sprinkle it into the kibble and mix it up.
I'm guessing that the smell helps.
By the way - the treat does have a fairly strong odor and will probably cause your pet to have less than attractive breath - but as an apparent healthy treat (and in our case 'seasoning') it's definitely worth trying out.
Has a high protein count so keep that in mind with smaller dogs (ie small portions only)
If my assumptions are correct then I strongly recommend trying this product for your dog.
