(More customer reviews)What, nobody has reviewed the Birkdale Petmix? Well, here we go... If you have an interest in your dogs diet, and perhaps see a need to change it, then give this a shot. I bought it the first time a bit reluctantly and mixed in raw ground chicken with it. Fed it to my 2 dogs (I mixed it in with a quality kibble) and they gobbled it up. My main reason for trying this food was a greyhound that had digestive issues so I started feeding her raw food, and it did clear up her problems. When she got better, I didn't use this food too much, but recently bought several more pouches and forgive me for saying, her poopies are so much easier to pick up again. I don't mix raw meat with it anymore, it just smelled too much for me. So all I do is boil 2 liters of water, throw in 2-2.5 lbs of ground turkey/chicken or beef, when that is cooked, I throw in half of a 2 pound bag of the petmix and divide it up into 3 containers (freezing some). I add a couple scoops to their dry food at feeding time. It makes way too much for me if I use the whole bag at one time. I have to say it doesn't have the best smell, but I KNOW it is better than giving them canned food with who knows what ingredients are in it. I haven't really calculated the cost, but I believe using this costs a little bit more than buying cans, but it is also so much better, so I do it.
