(More customer reviews)If you get your food in mass quantities and you are looking for a food keeper to store the kibble fresh and/or bug free.... THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. I'd actually give this item a 1/4 star if I could! The door does snap closed, but it is not air tight. It's a very poor connection and sounds/looks cheap. It does NOT have a seal; it just works on molding fitting together properly when you close the door. Bad idea. I actually found a bug in my pet kibble once... I assume because the food smell attracted the critter, and since the door was not air tight, it was able to finagle it's way in there. Remember, those annoying little pests can fit into the smallest of places. Can you imagine having to throw out a units-worth of pet food? It was a very expensive mistake. To make matters worse, I owned two of these and I did STACK them as it suggests, to save space. The weight of the food appeared to have disformed the door on the lower unit even more. After a while it did not close properly. One last thing... despite it's appearance, the white plastic does not block all light from your pets kibble (another freshness factor). Hold this unit up to the light and you'll notice that it is not as blocking as it could be. Plastic is a bit thinner then I would like, and I have seen units at the store (petsmart carries these) that have tiny holes in the corners. In the end, I got rid of mine and got two different units that have round jar-cap type doors that spin/screw on with air tight seals. Haven't had any problem since.
